Patrona Sponsors International Submarine Races “Best Use of Technology” Award

Patrona Corporation was once again a proud supporter of the International Submarine Races held by the Foundation for Underwater Research and Education (FURE).  Teams of young men and women from around the world competed in June to design and build a human-powered underwater vehicle.  The teams met at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division’s David Taylor Model Basin to test their creations.  Patrona Corporation proudly sponsored the “The Best Use of Technology” award. The team from the Sussex County New Jersey Technical School of Engineering won the award and earned the top speed of the week. Congratulations to Sussex Country Technical School for their award-winning vessel “UMPTYSQUATCH X” and for allowing Patrona to get a glimpse of a very bright future.
